Sorry if you are a subscriber and you received an email update about my husband's Air Force promotion ceremony. That was intended for my family blog, and I deleted it as soon as I realized it, but some of you probably received an email update about it anyway. Sorry about that!

Deals of the Day - Target

I am not going to cover the whole Target ad this week, but there were a couple of deals that stand out that I thought I should mention.

First, sweet corn in the husk is on sale 10 for $1! It's the sweet corn sale we've been waiting for!

Also, Dreyer's ice cream is on sale 3/$8, or $2.67 each. Use the $1/1 coupon HERE to get it for $1.67 each.

***UPDATE on the ice cream deal... If you're in Kansas City, Edy's is on sale 3/$7, which means only $1.33 each after the Target coupon! Target prices do vary by region, so go HERE to check out your local ad.

If you haven't yet taken advantage of it, the Degree deodorant deal is still available. I was in Target a few days ago, and this deodorant (Arctic Edge and Intense Sport) was priced at $2.34 (at the Powers location). Use the $1.50/1 Target coupon that was available on redplum.com (no longer available) and the $1/1 coupon from the 5/17 RP insert to get it free + overage!

Deal of the Day - a Commissary Deal

OK, this one is especially for all of the military couponers out there who have access to the commissary. Yesterday when we were in the commissary, I found that the A1 marinades were priced at $2 each. Use the $2/1 coupon that was available to print recently, or the $2/1 from the 6/14 SS insert and get them FREE!!

K-Mart Super Doubles are Coming Again

July 5th - 11th, participating K-Mart stores will be doubling coupons up to $2 again. Unfortunately, the Colorado Springs stores (Colorado in general) are not participating. The only one in this state is the Aurora store. However, my friends and family in KC will be happy to hear that the stores there ARE participating. The lady mentioned the Barry Rd and Vivion stores, and I think there was one other. My guess is that we won't see doubles in Colorado Springs again until the Chapel Hills Mall K-Mart closes. They are having their store closing sale now, although I didn't see any really great deals yet. They'll basically keep marking stuff down until the place is cleared out according to my cashier today. Anyway, I'll link up to the coupon match ups once I see them. If you're wondering if your stores are participating, you can call 1.866.KMART-4U to find out. Let us know in the comments if they are!

Deal of the Day!

King Soopers has the smaller Suave deodorant (larger than travel size) on sale for $1 this week. Use the .50/1 or .75/1 coupon from the 5/17 RP insert to get it FREE after doubles!

We've had family in town from Missouri, so I haven't been near the computer a lot. I am leaving tomorrow morning (Tuesday) to drive to MO with my 3 little ones. So, my posts will be sporadic for the next week or two. I will still try to do the weekly ad reviews, but I can't guarantee anything. K-Mart Doubles update..again

So, it was good news, then bad news, then good news, and now it's bad news for Colorado Springs. The local K-Mart stores do not appear to be doubling this week - I called 2 of them and they said they're NOT participating. Thank goodness I'm headed to KC this week! :)

Albertson's Deals June 3rd-9th

Here are the deals I see at Albertson's this week. Sorry for the delay getting them posted. I have family in town from Missouri, so my posts will probably be somewhat minimal the next couple of days...

Meat and Dairy:
Assorted Pork Chops - .97/lb
93% lean ground beef - $.99/lb
Pork picnic roast - .99/lb
Whole fryer chickens - .89/lb (unless you really need them, I'd wait for a better price)

Produce:
Cantaloupe - .99 each
Red, yellow or orange peppers - .99 each
These are pretty much the only really decent produce prices I see. Everything else can be had for less than half what their price is at another store this week.

General Grocery:
OK, scratch that - I really don't see any great bargains in the General Grocery or household areas this week.

Deal of the Day!

OK, if you have a King Soopers nearby, I have a HOT deal for you! Remember how King Soopers has pineapples on sale for only .99 this week? Well, go HERE to print a .50/1 coupon for Del Monte fresh pineapple. Take it to King Soopers, and with doubles, get yourself some FREE pineapple! I got 2 of them today!

Update on K-Mart Doubles

YAHOO, Colorado Springs is back in the game!! As it turns out, K-Mart has apparently opted not to advertise the double coupons in all of their weekly ads. One of my great readers, Michelle, decided to contact them and get the scoop, and she received the following:

Thank you for contacting Kmart regarding the Kmart Double Coupon Event. We appreciate your interest in this promotion. This event is for select participating Kmart locations from 6/7 - 6/13. All Kmart store located in Colorado will be participating in this event. We invite you to visit any of the participating stores.

Sincerely,
Jessica C.

Thanks for sharing what you found out, Michelle!

Sunday 6/7 Coupon Insert Preview

Jen at Living on More for Less has the scoop on this Sunday's expected coupons HERE. Keep in mind that some coupons and coupon amounts are regional, but this gives you an idea of what to expect. Looks like it'll be a good week - I'd find a way to get more than one set of these inserts!

K-Mart Doubles Bummer for Co Spgs

So, I hurried online this morning to check the K-Mart ad and make sure that the local Colorado Springs stores are in for the up to $2 doubles next week, and to my disappointment - they don't appear to be - there's no fun little red box with the big $2 in the corner. Looks like we have to wait again around here. However, I'm happy to report for all of my friends and family in Missouri that it looks like your stores are IN this time, and I'll be in KC next week, so I'm definitely planning to score some hot deals! :) If you're in some other area and were told earlier this week that your stores were participating, you may want to check in with them again because I think they did a lot of misinforming...

Sunflower Farmers Market highlights for June 3rd-10th

**Just a little update - an anonymous blog reading friend shared the tip that the best times to shop are 7-10 am and 7-10 pm. Both times that she's been in, it's been very busy, so she was wise enough to ask. I went in this evening too, and it was CRAZY in there, although I will say that they had every check out open and they were moving people through there pretty smoothly, and it was worth the wait!

So, have you heard all the buzz about the new store in town? If not, it's worth checking out. It's called Sunflower Farmers Market and it's located at Academy and Dublin. It's not a store that I'll be able to hit every week because it's a pretty good distance from me, but I was up that way last Saturday, so I made a point of stopping in. I was very impressed! I got 3 cantaloupes for $1, chicken breasts for rock bottom price of $1.47/lb, nectarines for .77/lb (they're even cheaper this week!), cherries for $1.99/lb, etc. And, a really cool thing that they do is they have double ad Wednesdays. So, the previous week's deals are good and so are the current week's. They make their ad available online on Tuesdays so that you can plan your Wednesday shopping trip. Nice! So, you can see that I'm impressed, and now here are the highlights that I see this week:

Produce:
Yellow peaches and nectarines - .57/lb
Tropical golden pineapples - .77 each!
Honeydew melons - .99 each
Champagne mangos - 2/$1
Lemons - 3/$1
Red or Green Leaf and Romaine lettuce - .77 each
Beefsteak tomatoes - .77/lb
Red or Golden Delicious and Granny Smith apples - .88/lb
Celery and bunched spinach - .88 each

Meat:
85% lean ground beef - $1.57/lb
Bone-in chicken breasts - .77/lb

King Soopers Deals June 3rd - 6th

I am doing the King Soopers ad review first this week because they had the most deals that I was excited about - mostly in the produce area. Be sure to check out the ad in case I missed anything!

Meat and Dairy:
King Soopers Milk or Kroger Orange Juice - $1/half gallon
Kroger cheese shreds, bars and singles - $1.50 each
USDA Choice London Broil - 50% off
Boneless Chicken - B1G1 FREE - I would not recommend buying this, it doesn't end up being a great price at all
Chicken leg quarters - .66/lb
80% lean ground beef - $2.19/lb
USDA Choice Cross Rib Roast - $3.99/lb

Produce:
Gold pineapples - .99 each! (I see some grilled kabobs in our future this week!)
Green cabbage - 3lbs/$1
Ataulfo mangos - 3/$1
Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and Red Delicious apples - 3/$1
Strawberries (1 lb) - $1 (Stock up!)
Raspberries (6 oz) - $1 (I might have to make a 2nd batch of raspberry freezer jam this week!)

General Grocery:
Ken's Salad Dressing - $1.49, use the $1/1 coupon from the 5/3 SS insert and get it for .49 each
Knorr Lipton side dishes - $1, use the .50/2 or $1/3 coupons from the 5/17 RP insert to get them for as low as .50 each

That's pretty much the extent of the really good deals that I noticed, but let me know if you see something that I missed!

This ad review is part of BeCentsable's Weekly Grocery Gathering!

Rancho Liborio Highlights for June 3rd-9th

I typically just cover a few highlights for Rancho Liborio, and will probably start doing the same for the new Sunflower Farmers Market store (which by the way I checked out last week and it's awesome!) I have become somewhat of a regular at Rancho Liborio, and I almost always stick to just produce when I stop in. Anyway, if you'd like to check out the Rancho Liborio ad, you can do so HERE

Wednesday only produce specials:
White onions 3lbs/.99
Oranges - 5lbs/.99
Mangos - 3lbs/.99
Nectarines - .57/lb
Red Delicious apples - .39/lb
Bulk Rice - .39/lb
Cantaloupe - 3lbs/.99

Deals that are good all week:
Russet Potatoes - 10 lb bag/.97
Strawberries (it's hard to read, but I think it says 1 lb containers) - .99 each
Jicama - 3lbs/.99
Cabbage - 3lbs/.99
Lettuce - 2/.99
Jalapenos - 3lbs/.99
Tomatillos - 3lbs/.99

They also have Thursday meat specials, but I'm not going to list those since it's a little hard to decipher what's what in the ad. Be sure to check it out for yourself, though!

New Printable Betty Crocker Coupons

The new month means new Betty Crocker printable coupons. Go HERE to register and print them!

Deal of the Day!

OK, I was waiting to post this one until I could confirm the price. So, I hit Target today and saw that Degree deodorant (Arctic Edge and Intense Sport) are priced at only $1.97 (at least at the one location I visited).
Use the $1.50/1 coupon HERE and get it for only .47 each
BUT, add the $1/1 coupon from the 5/17 RP insert, and get it FREE!!

More FREE Buddies Soaps

OK, I check out Fabulessly Frugal on a regular basis because it's a great site, so I thought it was fun that when I checked her out today, she had posted the link to this $3/3 Johnson & Johnson coupon, and had indicated that this was her very first couponing freebie. It was mine too! I saw on one of the frugal mom sites that I could get these for free and I became instantly intrigued. Since then, there's been no turning back. I LOVE couponing, and I have at least a year's supply of deodorant, shaving cream, razors, dish soap, lotion, buddies soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bbq sauce, and a few other things. I've only been at this since the very end of January, and it is so much fun! So, go HERE and print your $3/3 coupon. Then take it to Target and get 3 buddies soaps priced at about .97 each, and there you go, 3 great little freebies. My kids love these, and I love that they don't stick to the bottom of my bath tub and dissolve into nothingness!

KMart Doubles are BACK next week! June 7th - 13th

YAY!! It's been a while since we've had a K-Mart doubles event here in Colorado Springs, and I just called to check and as far as they could tell, our stores ARE participating. I also asked about the KC area stores and she said it looked like they are participating at this point too. However, right now they only have a list of those that have opted NOT to participate. So, she recommended definitely checking the ad when it becomes available this Thursday. I will keep you all posted, and I will definitely get to work on some major coupon match ups!! You can call this number to see if your store is participating: 1-866-562-7848. You can also check the ad - it should be available sometime Thursday HERE.

From May 30th to July 5th, Bass Pro Shops are offering Free Family Summer Camps on Saturday and Sundays from noon to 6 pm. And, if you're in Colorado, it might be worth the trip to check it out. If you do, be sure to let me know how it goes! It looks like they are offering lots of fun activities. Check out the details HERE!
