Safeway Deals This Week

Last night after my K-Mart trip, I also hit Safeway for a few deals. They have a $10 off $50 coupon in their ad this week. So, I bought a big can of Enfamil that normally costs about $25, and I used 4 $5.00 Enfamil checks. So, that got me well on my way to the $50 mark. My total for the items shown was $12.66. My percentage of savings...82%!!! I can't believe I didn't start this years ago!

Be sure to use the in ad coupons for a free 2 liter Pepsi product (we chose Crush grape) *Be aware that this requires a $10 purchase

Also, a big box of Frosted Mini Wheats for 99 cents, add the 70 cents off any Kellogg's cereal coupon from Sunday's paper plus the Safeway double up to $1.00 in our area, and you have yourself a box of Frosted Mini Wheats for FREE!

Final in ad coupon is for Lucerne butter for 99 cents!

There are also a few deals that are only available Saturday and Sunday. 87 cent eggs and 88 cent Campbell's Select Harvest Soup. You can go HERE to print a $1.00 off 4 Select Harvest soups, OR use the .40 off 2 coupon from a recent coupon insert for some GREAT deals on soup! Ths printable is a Safeway coupon, and the others are manufacturer - so I would think they could be combined, however the Safeway one says not to be used in conjunction with any other coupon, so I guess not...

About Those K-Mart Deals...

OK, here are some of the printables I used to get my K-Mart bargains this week.

Get a $2.00 Clean & Clear coupon HERE
Print the $2.00 of any Clean & Clear product (you will have to register to print it)
It doubles to $4.00, and the face washes I purchased were $4.19 at my K-Mart.
This one is fabulous because it allows you to use your back button and print up to 10 times if you want to!

Get a $2.00 Pledge coupon HERE
This one doubles to $4.00, and the multi surface cleaner I purchased was also $4.19 per bottle at my K-Mart. Use the back button to print this one twice!

You can print a $2.00 Purina puppy chow coupon HERE
This doubles to $4.00. The puppy chow was $6.39 per bag at my store, but $2.39 a bag is still a great deal. Our dog is 2 years old, but he LOVES puppy chow!

The Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex Wipes, and Pledge Wipes coupons came from HERE
The Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner ended up being 79 cents each, the Windex Wipes were free and the Pledge wipes were free.

The Secret deodorant coupons came from this past Sunday's paper, and with the coupon those were 29 cents each.

The Kotex pantyliner coupon came from the 2/22 paper also. They end up being free with the coupon.

The L'oreal kids shampoos are on sale for $2.49. I used the L'oreal shampoo coupons from the 2/22 paper, and they ended up being 49 cents each.

I used the Dentyne coupon from the 2/22 paper and got a free pack of Dentyne gum

The rest of the coupons came from other recent inserts. (I've only been collecting coupons since the end of January, so they were almost all from a late January or February insert.) The toothbrushes, toothpaste and gauze pads were free. The band-aids were free to 19 cents a box. The Post cereal was $1 a box. The cosmetics (1 eye shadow, 1 blush and 1 eye liner) were free. The Wet Ones antibacterial wipes were 79 cents.

OK, hope this helps - get out there and get some deals before they're gone! :)

K-Mart Super Doubles - Day 3

I know, you think I'm hooked, and you're right - I can't get enough of the super doubles at K-Mart this week. This picture shows what I purchased today. A whole lot of fun stuff, and guess what my grand total was less than $9 I am pretty pleased with myself.

Tonight I've been putting some of these cleaning products to work around here, and I'm too tired to post information about the coupons I used. I will post a list tomorrow that includes any printables I used so that you can be sure to take advantage too!!

K-Mart Super Doubles - Day 2

So, you know that missing container of Windex wipes in my last K-Mart post? Well, I apparently left them at the store. So, I called this morning to see and they had them at customer service for me.

Today's bargains include everything pictured: 1 Pledge wipes, 1 Softsoap, 1 eye shadow, 4 bottles of Clean & Clear face wash, 1 box of Kotex panty liners, 1 bottle of scrubbing bubbles, 2 containers of wet ones antibacterial wipes, 1 Secret deodorant, and 2 L'oreal kids shampoos.

Are you ready for the grand total?!

Three dollars and one penny. I hope you have as much fun as I have at K-mart this week.

K-Mart Super Double Deals

I had a very successful first visit to K-Mart today. I rarely go in there, but when they're offering to double coupons up to $2.00 - it's a no brainer!

The above photo came to $8.21. The foil was from Walgreens, sorry, should have left that out. Oh yeah, and there should be another box of Band-Aids in there. So, I got 3 boxes of Band-aids, 2 Windex Wipes(apparently I left one of those out of the pic too - I have a lot of helpers these days!), 4 boxes of Post cereal, a pack of 3 Quatro razors, 2 Kotex panty liners, 1 Rimmel blush, 1 Crest toothpaste, 2 Gillette shampoo, 2 Secret deodorant. My only regret is that I forgot to use the $5/$50 purchase coupon because if I had I would have spent only $3.21. However, with 3 kids in tow, I wasn't going home for it at that point. I do intend to return tomorrow for a few more things - ok, quite a few more things - and this time, I won't forget my $5/$50 coupon. Don't forget yours either. Another Heads Up - K-Mart This Time!

K-Mart is bringing back the Super Double Coupons from February 22-28. This means they'll double coupons up to $2.00 (could be more or less in some areas). Call 1.866.KMART4U to find out if your local store is participating. I called today and yep, my stores are in! There are some rules - like the doubling can't exceed the cost of the product and stuff. HERE is a link to sign up and get $5 off a purchase of $50 or more. You should be able to use this before your manufacturer's coupons for some extra fun savings!

Happy Shopping!

Garnier Fructis Deal - Not Yet, but Get READY!

OK, thanks to my friend Rachel for the heads up on this one. I missed out last time this came around - I hadn't caught coupon fever yet. BUT, during the week of March 8-14, Walgreen's is going to have Garnier Fructis hair care on sale for $2.99. The instant coupon in their Easy Saver catalog brings them down to .99. Then, use a $1/1 styling product coupon or a $1/1 shampoo/conditioner coupon and you have yourself some free hair care (plus tax)! These coupons are available to buy on ebay. For those that are new to this, I had the same thought initially - What? Buy Coupons?? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?? But, I'm sold on it now - it costs you a couple bucks typically, maybe less, and you end up with all sorts of free stuff in the end. Oh, and a plug for my coupon giveaway - I intend to include SEVERAL coupons for these Garnier Fructis products, and you will have them in plenty of time to take advantage of this deal! So, if you haven't entered, do it HERE - you only have until noon on Wednesday February 18th!!

Children's Place Deals!

OK, this is not a freebie, but if you need some clothes for your little ones, here's a way to get some great deals. First, go to Mr. Rebates HERE and get signed up if you haven't already. It's free to sign up and you can earn rebates at lots of fun stores that you probably shop at anyway. Plus, they'll give you a $5.00 rebate just for signing up! So, once you get signed up, go over to the search box on the top left hand side of the Mr. Rebates site and type in Children's Place. Make sure that you access the store this way so that you can get the 3% rebate off of your purchase. Then, do your shopping (I recommend the sale links - lots of cute stuff for $2.99 and $3.99, but hurry, they're definitely running out of some things!) When you're finished shopping, put in the code SA29 and get an additional 15% off of your order. You will automatically get $5 shipping, no matter what size the order is. And, once the Children's Place has confirmed your order, your rebate will show up on the Mr. Rebates site. With the coupon and the rebate, you save 18% off of some already great sale prices (if you choose to shop the sales!) Let me know if you have questions - I did this just this morning and got some awesome deals!

Walgreens Military Discount

I don't know how many military wives check this blog, but I know of at least one besides me, so I thought I'd share this. I learned last week - totally by accident - what a fortunate accident - that Walgreens in my area offers a 15% military discount on Tuesdays only. I asked them if they offer this everywhere and she said to call and check - she thinks most do. So, when you look at some of the freebies and things, they can become even bigger money makers if you do your Walgreens shopping on Tuesdays!

Redbox codes

As if $1 for a movie wasn't cheap enough, here are 2 more ongoing Redbox codes for you to use to get free movies. You can use each one one time per credit card, I believe:

Rite Aid Deals

So, I don't have a Rite Aid right in town, in fact the closest one for me is about 50 miles away, BUT we took a little trip north today for some family fun, and since we were in the area, you know I didn't pass up the opportunity to get some GREAT deals.

So, with my coupons and rebates (SCRs), my grand total for the items pictured was $2.78. If I hadn't purchased the additional Herbal Essense shampoo and conditioner, I would have spent nothing and had an overage, but I'm thinking $2.78 for these items is still one heck of a deal!

So, if you have a Rite Aid nearby, go and get these things:

Garnier Fructis Full Control Hairspray or Mousse
All you have to do is go to the Rite Aid website after your purchase is made and enter your receipt info to collect the rebate and get this item for FREE
But, if you have the $1/1 coupon from a recent Sunday paper (I can't remember which week for sure), you will actually make a dollar on this deal after the coupon and rebate.

Finesse Shampoo, Conditioner and Stylers are on sale for $2.99. There is another SCR rebate on this one for $1.99, which makes your price $1.00. Last Sunday's paper had a .75/1 coupon, which could bring your cost to a mere 25 cents!

Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner is also on sale 2 for $6 and there is a $3.00 CSR if you buy 2, which makes it only $3.00 for 2 bottles. But, there was also a coupon in the Sunday paper for $3/2, and if you use that, your total is yep, you guessed it - $0 for 2 bottles of shampoo and/or conditioner.

Don't forget to use the $5 off $20 purchase coupon that I posted earlier. There are some other Rite Aid deals too, but I'm going to stop with always, search around some of the other frugal mommy blogs and I'm sure you can find more. :)

PS - the Rite Aid I visited does NOT accept printable coupons other than the ones that are specifically Rite Aid. Some do, so call yours and see.

Have fun!

Coupon Giveaway

OK girls (and guys if you're tuning in) - I hope my deal tips are helping you, and now I need your help too. :) If you sign up for swagbucks through my site and earn them by searching, I earn extra swagbucks too, and as I mentioned, I'm trying to earn for some Amazon gift cards to finish doing the decorating I want to do in Hailey's room. So, I'm going to do a little friendly giveaway. Here are the rules. You have to click HERE or use the swagbucks icon over to the right on this site and get signed up for free. Once you've signed up through one of these 2 links, come back here and leave me a comment letting me know you've done so. This will be your entry into the contest, and is the only way you can enter. If you've already signed up for swagbucks through me, leave a comment and you're in. If you're already doing the swagbucks thing, but didn't sign up through my links, sorry - this one's not for you but I promise to do more giveaways in the future. So, on to the prize. I have been doing some SERIOUS coupon collecting via lots of different avenues, and I am going to mail a big stack of what I have to the lucky winner. It's a great start to your coupon collection if you're new, or a great addition if you've been at this for a while. :) So, go do it - get signed up with swagbucks and start using it to do your searches - it's a win-win for both of us! :) Oh, and one more thing - you have until Wednesday, February 18th at noon EST to enter. Thanks!

CVS can be a major hot spot for deals and free stuff

OK girls, I happen to live in an area that doesn't have CVS, so I'm not going to spend a lot of time on it (although when I visit family next month in an area that does have it - it might be another story. :)) Anyway, here's a link with lots of info for beginners:

CVS 101

Here's a link with the deals for the current week:

CVS deals 2/8-2/14

Search around - there are lots of mommies out there tracking the CVS bargains, and I've definitely seen some things that made me wish I had a CVS nearby.

Couponing Tips - NO Need for Sunday Paper this Week!

I have a little section to the right with couponing tips for beginners. I was going to put this note there, but I want to make sure that all of you newbies read it. Do NOT buy a Sunday newspaper this week (if you're planning to buy it strictly for the coupons) because there are NO coupon inserts scheduled for this week.

Valentine's Day entertainment for FREE

Here are 2 free movie rental codes from Redbox for Valentine's Day:

Go HERE to find a REDBOX near you!

Rite-Aid $5/20 coupon - Friday & Saturday only

There is a printable coupon for $5/20 that is valid Friday and Saturday only. Click HERE to get it. I'm hoping to do an update with some of the other Rite Aid deals and match ups for this week before the day's over so that those of you with a Rite-Aid in your area can use this coupon to get some great deals!

A couple of Safeway deals this week

Here's a fun one if you have Safeway, although I will say, make sure you check your local ad to see that the same deals are being offered.

OK, so they are offering Betty Crocker cake mixes, cookies mixes, and tubs of frosting, buy 2, get 3 FREE. They are charging somewhere around $1.79 each for the 2 you have to pay for. But, go HERE and print 2 of the .50/1 cookie mix coupons and 2 of the .55/1 frosting coupons...these will be doubled to $1 each. There were also coupons for these items found in the 2/8 SmartSource coupon insert. If you can come up with 5 of them, you can use all 5, then use your Safeway card and you'll end up with all 5 for free.

The other deal involves a Safeway super coupon. All you need is a copy of this week's ad, which is typically available in the store. There is a coupon for 4 boxes of Betty Crocker fruit snack for $6.00 - not a fantastic deal by itself, BUT go HERE and print a coupon for .75/2 for these Betty Crocker fruit snacks. Now you have 4 boxes for $4.00, but it doesn't end there - as a thank you from General Mills, you will get a catalina (one of those little coupons that prints out at the register) for $2.50 off of your next visit to Safeway. So, if you factor that in, you have a grand total of $1.50 for 5 cookie mixes and frostings and 4 boxes of fruit snacks.

Happy Saving!

A Great FREE One, IF you have a Kroger's (or store in the Kroger's family) in your area

This is one of my favorite deals so far. Cottonelle seems to have .50/1 pack of toilet paper coupons available all the time. It just so happens that Kroger stores - in my area it's King Soopers - sell 4 packs of Cottonelle for .99 each AND they double manufacturer coupons. So, you get where I'm going with this one. You take your .50/1 coupon in and you leave with free toilet paper. Who doesn't need TONS of toilet paper?! So far I have "purchased" 8 packs, and I currently have 7 coupons all ready to go so I can do some more stocking up. You can look into this deal in your area, but so far I don't know of any other stores that offer the 4 packs of Cottonelle for 99 cents. Here are a couple of links to printable coupons, and if you get the Sunday newspaper, there have been some .50/1 Cottonelle coupons in there recently.

Cottonelle .50/1 printable coupon
Cottonelle $1/1 printable coupon

***A couple of quick tips about printable coupons. Typically, you may print each coupon twice on each computer. You print it once, hit your back button (often takes hitting it twice) and it will automatically print another. If you try it again, it will most likely tell you that you've already printed the maximum number. Also, please be aware of the fact that the manufacturers only make so many printables available in each campaign. So, if you hear about a printable coupon that you need to have for a good deal match up, make sure you print it ASAP so that it's not gone when you go back to get it later.

Another FREEBIE for you!

OK, I have another fun freebie for this week. These packages of Schick disposable razors cost $1.97 at Wal-Mart. I had 3 different coupons for $2 off any Schick disposable razor. So, these 3 packages for a total of 36 disposable razors came guessed it - $0 I figure my military husband will be shaving for a while, so I think we can probably put these to good use! :) However, you have to have the coupon for this one. I don't know of a printable one. It came from the most recent Sunday paper (SS 2/8/09)

Please be aware of the fact that prices may vary between Wal-Mart stores. Be sure to check your prices before racing to the check out for your freebies!

Check out Swag Bucks - it's legit!

So there are a million different sites out there that claim that you win by doing your internet searches through them. I don't know the details on most of them, but I did find one that is definitely legitimate, and I would highly recommend it. You set up a free account and you start winning "swag bucks" simply by doing the internet searches that you always do. You can either download the toolbar so that it's always handy, or simply go to the swagbucks site instead of google or another search engine. I joined less than a week ago and I have 25 swag bucks so far. As soon as you get 45, you can get a $5.00 Amazon gift card. You can also use them to earn Target gift cards, Starbucks gift cards, and a list of other things in the swag store. So, either click on the little icon over to the right, or click HERE and get signed up so you can start earning your swag bucks now! I'm hoping to save up so that I can buy a little lamp for Hailey's room that I really want from Amazon. What do you want to earn?! :)

Mini First Aid Kit FREEBIE

OK, here's another fun one for you (since Hailey woke up crying before I even got to sleep and now I'm still awake. :))

What mommy, or person, for that matter, doesn't need a little travel size first aid kit like this:

OK then, here's the secret to getting not one, but TWO of them for free. :) Go HERE and print your $3/2 coupon. (You'll need to page through them, I think it shows up on page 8 for me.) In fact, go ahead and print 2 if you want. Then, take it to your local Target, Wal-Mart, or probably a million other stores, check out the little "travel size" section, and head out the door with 2 free first aid kits. I now have one for my car, my husband's car, my diaper bag, and a back up. How cool and easy is that?!

Here Goes Nothin'!

OK girls, I'm super excited to start sharing the details of all of this saving madness. It is SO much fun. Beware, you may quickly become addicted.

So, my first fun savings tip has to do with these cute little soaps:

Go HERE and print off a coupon for $2 off 2 Johnson & Johnson products. (You should be able to use your back button to print 2 coupons). Then, go to your local Target and get 2 of these cute little buddies soaps for FREE. At our Target they cost .97, and when I checked them at King Soopers (one of our local grocery stores), they were $1.19. Shop around - several places sell them, but Target was the jackpot for me. My kids LOVE them because they don't slip out of their hands, and I love them because they don't dissolve to nothing when they're left sitting in the bath water! :)

Happy Shopping!

Look for more fun savings very soon!
